Tory peers block workers’ rights bill – again
The fight for stronger workplace rights has hit another delay after Tory peers in the House of Lords once again voted down the Employment Rights Bill. A Bill that would deliver long-promised improvements to job security, protections and workplace fairness.
TUC General Secretary Paul Nowak called the move ‘undemocratic’, warning that millions of workers could lose out if the Bill isn’t passed by Christmas.
But we’re not giving up. The TUC has vowed to keep up the pressure until workers finally see the rights they’ve been promised.
