28.05.26 Update from the recent ballot:

It has now been reported that all 3 Unions have rejected the pay offer by the employer and notified the employer of this result.

It will now be a waiting period for a response from the employer before any further steps will be considered by the Union. A employer meeting is expected on the 18th June. As soon as there is any relevant news to pass on, then it will be posted.

At this point it is worth noting what industrial action is and nay be talked about. Read what it means on our website in the below link. It does not mean striking!

What is Industrial Action

National Head Office will be corresponding to members on this current position in due course.

Any pay award will be back dated to April 2026.

NJC Union ballot 13/4 – 22/5/26 HERE

Each year your union represents your interests to improve our pay and conditions.

During the 2025/26 negotiations, the result in the pay award, which had been an important issue for members, and raised with the union by members. Was resolved early for the first time in a number of years.

Remembering that the delays in previous years until the resolution had been a major point of concern by members during those negotiations. Even though the union corresponded with members to keep them updated.

See the links below with the current update. In addition is a copy of the GMB subsistence allowances from the 1st April.
