Our union is here to help members with work issues affecting your employee rights.
This is a gentle message to remind you as GMB members to contact your local GMB reps early in relation to any incidents such as grievances and disciplinary matters. The earlier GMB is involved, the better the possibility to negotiate the matter before any ultimate formal proceedings.
Importantly to you, your colleagues, and in identifying any evidence regarding breaches of procedures/policy, especially where there is any degree of adverse risk. It needs to be recorded formally by you in writting.
These records are critical to any support you would need for yourself or colleagues in any future negotiations or proceedings.
